Me, a hero by Luciana

THIS IS NOT A STORY ABOUT A REVOLUTIONARY HERO, BUT ABOUT SOMEONE WHO FELT LIKE A HERO ONE DAY.

IT WAS A COMMON DAY OF WINTER IN 2007.AND I WAS GOING TO "THE ROOSEVELT PARK" BY BUS WITH MY FRIENDS, WHEN WE GOT OFF THE BUS AND WENT INTO THE STREET MARKET . WE COULD SEE THAT THERE WERE A LOT OF "PLANCHAS". BUT LUCKILY, WE HADN`T BROUGHT MONEY OR A BAG.SO WE WALKER AROUND ALL THE PLACE, AND WHILE MY TWO FRIENDS WERE TALKING WITH A BOY , I WAS LOOKING CAREFULLY TO AN OLD WOMAN WHO WAS THERE THAT LOOKED LIKE AS A RICH PERSON , BECAUSE OF HER CLOTHES.

BUT AT THE SAME TIME I WAS LOOKING TO HER, I COULD SEE THAT THERE WAS A "PLANCHA" LOOKING AT HER. IN THAT MOMENT I REALLY KNEW HE WAS GOING TO STEAL HER BEAUTIFUL BAG. SO WHEN HE WAS GETTING CLOSER I DID TOO, LIKE IF I WERE GOING TO CHECK ON A NICE DRESS THAT WAS THERE. IN THE MOMENT HE GRABBED THE BAG, I HIT HIS LEG AND HE FELT DOWN. I JUMPED ON HIM AND TOOK THE BAG, I SHOUTED HELP!!, WHEN I SAID THAT THE "PLANCHA" STARTED TO RUN AWAY AND AWAY. ALL THE PEOPLE WERE CLAPPING, THEY UNDERSTOOD WHAT HAPPENED , SO IT WAS LIKE THEY WERE PROUD OF ME, MY FRIENDS COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I HAD DONE, AND THE WOMAN WAS CRYING.HOWEVER, WHEN I GAVE HER THE BAG, SHE SMILED; ACTUALLY, BUT NOT SHE ONLY SMILED BUT SHE OFFERED ME MONEY BECAUSE I GOT HER EXPENSIVE BAG BACK, BUT I DIDN'T ACCEPT THE MONEY.

AFTER THAT, WE WENT BACK TO SOLYMAR BY BUS , AND I FELT LIKE A HERO, LIKE SUPERMAN, BATMAN OR SPIDERMAN, BECAUSE THEY HELP BUT NEVER ASK ANYTHIG BACK.

My Hero by Inés

It was a beautiful day when John was walking whit his daugther when a man atacked him.

He died ten minutes after, but he remained in the minds of a lot of people because in my opinion he was a hero for all the ideology that he gave. He taught how to have a relationship with peace, to respect the others, to see the differences...
He wrote a lot of songs referring this ideas and showing facts of his life as her mother's death. Some lyrics he wrote were "Mother", "Imagine", "Just like"...
He was a revolutionary person because he defended the rights of the people, he attempted to change the violence for peace.
Many people say he was murdered for his pacifist ideas, however the police says he was murdered by a fan, i don't know the real truth but i know he is in my heart...

Life and Tech in the 3000 by Ana Paula

In 3000 life and tech will be so united that the people won’t be able to think of them in other way. The people of that time will be so dependent of the machines and so use to have them that they won’t believe the way we live now, but that is not a new because sometimes is difficult to us to believe how the people from 1700 could live without the technology we have today.

I think that the diseases practically won’t exist thanks to the advances that they will have on medicine, at least I hope that. The problem of the contamination will be resolved because the cars and industries will stop contaminating the air, water, etc. I think they’ll lost the taste for travel and appreciate the views because with all the technology they’ll have, they will probably invent a faster way to travel than planes, trains or cars, but of course all those things will be faster in that time. Finally the humans will establish contact with aliens (and I hope for the humans sake those aliens to be friendly), and discover other planet where to live besides the Earth, because in this will be too much people. In the daily life the people will use flying cars, robots to make the things like clean the house and other things, and more.

Personally I wouldn’t like to live in that time because with all the technology that will exist some things will be lost like to travel by bus and look outside by the window. Besides that may be the people will not get use to all that technology because if all the inventions happen to fast there won’t be time to do that. On the other, hand it would be nice to live on a world where everybody is healthy, and to travel really fast in case of emergency. In my opinion the future will have bad and good things like everything in this world.

José Artigas was the principal leader of our revolution. His ideas were excellent projects for a free country, and also his strategy during the battles was amazing.

Our freedom process started in 1811 in “La batalla de las piedras” when he and his men killed most of the Spanish warriors. After lots of won battles he had to go to live in Paraguay because of a treachery. There he lived still his death in 1850.

Today we remember him as the most important piece of our revolution and as a national hero. He always wanted a good life quality for the poor people and a union between the neighbor countries, but his project could never be real.

THIS IS NOT A REAL STORY

Long time ago in the outskirts of a very small town, there was an orphanage. A lot of children lived there with a lot of adults watching over them. There, dwelled children from every age, from 1 or 2 years old to 17 or 18. Besides the children, nurses, doctors, teachers and the director lived there. In total, there were like 200 people.

One night, when everybody was sleeping, one of the youngest boys woke up all the children around him telling them that the building was on fire, luckily everyone believed him. When everybody around woke up, the fastest and oldest went to the other rooms and woke up everybody in there, and continued doing this until there weren’t any more rooms to go.

Finally when the night was over, all the people were out of the building, except for the director of the orphanage. When one of the oldest boys realized that went inside of the building on fire an rescued him.

At the end of that terrible, but lucky night the firemen put off the fire and no one died.

Life and tech in the year 3000‏ By Micaela

Here we are in the year 3000 looking how is life here. Let´s start looking how the people live. Robots controled the house and the people do nothing. It´s more relaxing, but at the same time it´s stressing. People need to do something, to be in active.

Next we will see how is the transportation in the year 3000. The shoes have rockets for all the family. Then we have the rocket skate for the kids to go to school. Finally we have the flying cars.

We are finishing seeing how is the people here. Relax and stress with all time they are doing nothing.

Nowadays, it´s very common to listen to the fact that old people don´t get along well with young people. The reason is very simple, we don´t dress like they do, we don´t listen to the same kind of music, we use different words and expressions, etc.

If some person wants to get along well with young people, he/she will have to understand and accept our ideas. Most of the old people think that our ideas and our way of life are wrong, but they are not. The fact that they are different, doesn´t mean they are not correct. So, accept our ideas is the first thing that he/she will have to do.

This person will also have to start talking with young people, in this way he/she will start to know more about what we do, what we like, and he will surely get along better with young people.

Martin Luther King by Sabrina

It was the year 1963, in front of the Lincon's Monument (during the March in Washington for the work and the freedom) the reverend Martin Luther King did a speech, that starts with the famous words "I Have a Dream”.The entire world remember him, how one of the greatest heroes in U.S. history. He took part of many pacific acts for the right to vote, not discrimination, and other rights from black people. Always, without violence.

For example when he led a boycott to Montgomery's bus in 1955, because in that moment was a law what said that the persons of color had to leave the seat to white persons. A consequence of that was, Luther King was arrested and his house was attacked. The most incredible was he continued fighting for rights in a peace way.

I think that he must been afraid, because the life of his family was in risk. In spite of this, Luther King continued until the end. And today, he is recognized by all the people and been grateful by many.

It was a Monday night really dark with no people circulating when suddenly in my house i listened a noise from outside. I picked up the lantern and went to see what was happening. It was a men of Spain who was going to start a war. I enter my house and stayed there. In the morning everybody was in defense of their family and home; nobody was in defense of all the people until...Jose Marino arrived. He was in defense of everybody. He saved many people of died and did the independence of many countries.
